About the Scripture Links

We have linked the Scripture references for each Morning and Evening devotional reading to an online copy of the King James Version of the Bible, the translation that Spurgeon used. (In a few cases we have substituted the New King James Version for clarity.)

We have also embedded links to all of the thousands of Bible passages Spurgeon alludes to in his devotionals. To the best of our knowledge, this is a feature you'll find on no other website that publishes Morning and Evening.
