Scripture and the Church

Today's post-evangelical church has a serious knowledge problem. Psalm 119:11 gives the cure.
Today most churches - if they value the Bible at all - value it for the wrong reasons. What are the right reasons to value the Word of God? Are they your reasons?
Is the Bible your church's supreme authority, or have other things taken first place?
Psalm 119:11 is about far more than merely memorizing Scripture. It speaks of holding God's Word to be precious - a concept that has become foreign in most of today's churches.
Those who lead churches into apostasy rely on the doctrinally indifferent to help carry out their agenda.
Today the Holy Spirit is doing the same cleansing and teaching work in His temples that Jesus did in the temple at Jerusalem two thousand years ago.
Jesus cleansed the temple not only to restore it to holiness in worship, but also for another vital purpose that continues to this day.
If Jesus came to your church this Sunday, would His all-consuming zeal for holiness in worship compel Him to cleanse it as He did the temple at Jerusalem?
Jesus came back to the Temple on Monday morning, and performed one of His mightiest and most significant works.
As we enter another year of growing uncertainty and calamity, how does God tell us to face it? Colossians, a letter written to people who were about to lose everything, gives us the answer.
