TeachingTheWord Ministries was founded in 1998, and the Lord has blessed this work by His grace. Our goal is Equipping the Scripture-Driven Church. God's inspired, inerrant Word must be Christians' and the church's sole authority, and infallible critic, in every area of life and ministry. We base this goal upon Hebrews 4:12 - "For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner [in the Greek, a critic] of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Dr. Paul Elliott, our president, has been a frequent pulpit and conference speaker.
But statistics are not the real story. As Martin Luther wrote in his great hymn, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, "Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing." The work of this ministry depends upon the power of Holy Spirit to illuminate His Word, regenerate souls, and sanctify lives. We are grateful to know that the Lord has used this ministry in the saving of souls and the edification of saints in many lands. Nothing gratifies us more than to hear from a pastor who has seen that he has been leading his church in a worldly direction, but has recommitted to "Scripture alone"; or, from someone who has come to saving faith in Christ and now seeks the fellowship of like-minded believers.
We will only know the whole story in Heaven. We are nothing. Christ and His Word are everything. He must increase, but we must decrease (John 3:30).
