The Bible in a Year

Follow our schedule to read the entire Bible in a year,
in about 20 minutes a day.

Why read the whole Bible? The Bible is one book, with a four-fold purpose (2 Timothy 3:16-17). You need to read the whole Word, to profit from the whole message.

Don't wait for a new year to begin!
Start at Genesis 1:1 and Matthew 1:1 (the January 1st readings) on any day of the year. View each day's passages from the King James or New King James translation by clicking the links for each day. You can also listen to the passages from the King James Version. You can also sign up to receive each day's readings automatically by e-mail in The Profitable Word, our free electronic publication.

The Bible is the only supernatural book. Although He employed the skills of human writers, God the Holy Spirit is the Author of every word of the Bible (2 Peter 1:19-21). Ask God to open your understanding as you read (see 1st Corinthians 2:9-16, Psalm 119:18, Luke 24:45.) "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him" (Proverbs 30:5).
